Roughrider Electric Cooperative: Air-source heat pump — $100 per ton, maximum $400 (e.g., a 3-ton system earns $300, a 4+ ton system earns $400). Ground-source heat pump — $150 per ton, maximum $600. Both types: program runs through December 31, 2026. New installation or replacement of conventional heating system. One rebate per member. Funds are limited.
Roughrider Electric Cooperative serves northwest-central North Dakota — approximately 2–5% of ND electricity customers.
Xcel Energy (Fargo/eastern ND) and MDU Resources (Bismarck/Dickinson area) have separate programs not publicly accessible as of May 2026.
